Archiving Coastal Lives

This project is a collaborative exercise between the Centre for Global Asia, New York University Shanghai and the French Institute of Pondicherry. Over the last three years the French Institute of Pondicherry in association with the Madras Institute of Development Studies have been engaged in an ESRC funded project that looks at the impact of government policies on the physical, ecological and social character of the coastal areas in India and in select European countries and the well being of fishing communities.
