It is with profound sadness that we share the news about the passing of one of CGA’s cherished friends, Natalie Köhle. Natalie visited NYU Shanghai twice and delivered lectures on the transcultural history of bodily fluids. A leading expert on Chinese, Indian, and Tibetan medicine, Natalie’s research and publications are outstanding examples of intra-Asian and Global Asian studies. Natalie received her Ph.D. from Harvard University and was, at the time of her passing, a faculty member at the University of Sydney, Australia.
